I’ve used it for about a month now, and it hasn’t come off the windshield once. It’s really long, so I shaped it so it could rest the arm on the dash to reduce bouncing. It’s not by any means an “Incredible” holder, but actually a universal and not of great quality.

The holder itself allows the user to squeeze it to grip the phone, with a spring loaded release button to let go. I haven’t tried using it in horizontal mode. For [...] bucks it’s worth it. If I had to move it around much, it’d be worth spending a little more. Can’t complain much tho, it does the job and it was cheap.

The other two reviews nail it. Wish they were here before I bought it, but hey it was only $8, you get what you pay for.

The previous review nails all the details you need to know about. In addition, the rubber grips that hold the phone in place started curling and coming unglued after a single afternoon in my car (I live in Baton Rouge and have to park in direct sunlight so it was damn hot). I took it out and crushed it under my tires as I left, saving the metal pole that gives the snake it’s flexibility (what an awesome piece of metal).

I suppose this could be useful in a house or cool climates. It’s kind of bulky (definitely not designed specifically for the incredible), but would have kinda gotten the job done if not for the heat.

I also had the bobbing issue for the one morning I used it, but I figured that was due to the length. I’m not sure anything that long could be built that doesn’t bob a little (and I need something that long due to the design of my windshield and dashboard).

All in all, you get what you pay for.

Although the item description says 360 Degree Rotatable Car Windshield Holder Suction Mount with Air Vent Attatchment for HTC Droid Incredible it is in fact a UNIVERSAL mount and not specific for the HTC Droid Incredible. Also it is only 306 degree rotatable with the windshield holder suction mount. With the Air Vent attachment it can only be held in the vertical position and I like to use the Google Map GPS app in the horizontal position. Additionally, the air vent attachment was awkard to install and I actually broke my driver side vents trying to remove the clips. I am not sure I can fully blame it on the air vent attachment, but I have never had any problems using air vent fresheners and breaking any vents.

Another minor annoyance is the constant bobbing of the unit when attached to the windshield. Although it never came off my droid was constantly bobbing up and down while driving. I have a Magellan GPS unit and the windshield mount feels significantly more solid and my GPS never bobs. I really can’t complain as in the end you get what you pay for and it was only $8. If I had it to do over again I think I would spend more and get a more solidly built universal holder or one specific for the HTC Droid incredible.

Until then I am back to looking for another mount and trying to find replacement air vent clips for my broken air vent.
